SnagBane can add approved requests to Outlook or Google calendars. When annual leave, a business trip or a room booking is approved by the last stage, the event appears in the requester's own calendar or in a shared team calendar. Calendar integrations are part of the Business plan and are set up by administrators.
How it works
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Runs | After approval (default) |
| Calendar | The signed-in requester's own calendar, or a chosen mailbox / shared calendar |
| Dates | From the form's date, date-and-time or date-range question; all-day events supported |
| Title and text | Templates with merge tags, e.g. “{{respondent.name}} — annual leave” |
For safety the calendar owner is always the signed-in requester or a mailbox you choose — never an address someone types into the form.
Outlook (Microsoft 365)
Uses the Microsoft Graph permission Calendars.ReadWrite. Limit it to the mailboxes you choose with Exchange Online RBAC for Applications.
Google Calendar
With Connect with Google, events go to shared or team calendars the connected account can edit (the requester can be invited). With a service account, also to each requester's own calendar.
Frequently asked questions
Can leave appear in a team calendar instead of each person's?
Yes. Choose a mailbox or shared calendar as the owner.
What about rejected requests?
Nothing is created — the integration runs only after approval.
See the integration setup guides in the documentation.
