Do you see our data?
No. SnagBane runs on your server and stores everything in your database. Only update and licence checks reach our services — see what leaves your server.

Who installs it?

How quickly can we start?
Install it, then bring a form you already have — a Microsoft Forms or Google Forms link, an InfoPath template or questions pasted from Word — add who approves and share the link. The guides walk through each step with a short video.
What do we need to run it?
PHP 8.3 or newer and a database (MySQL 8 / MariaDB 10.6+, PostgreSQL 14+ or SQLite), or simply Docker. The download contains everything else — no Composer or Node.js needed.
Do approvers need an account?
No. Approvers can decide from the link in their email, and people can fill in public forms without signing in — neither counts towards your plan. With single sign-on, employees use the company account they already have.
Is it safe to automate approvals of money and access?
Yes. Each approver gets a personal signed link; changing the approver makes the old link stop working; requesters can be blocked from approving their own requests; actions after approval run only after the last stage; and every step is in the audit log. See Security.
Where is the documentation?
In the open: the documentation covers installation, every setting and a setup guide for each integration, the guides show the main tasks in short videos, and the REST API reference lists every endpoint.
How do updates work?
Inside SnagBane: Settings → System & updates → Update now. Every release is signature-checked and the current version is backed up first; the update takes about a minute and your data stays untouched.
Can we try a paid plan first?
Yes. Request a trial and we send you a 30-day Business or Enterprise licence key for your own installation — no card, nothing to cancel. The Free plan needs no request at all: download it.
What happens when a licence ends?
Paid features pause; nothing is deleted. Forms, responses and approvals keep working, and everything continues when you renew.
Which languages does it speak?
The app is translated into 33 languages, including right-to-left ones, and forms and portals can be translated for the people who fill them in.
