E-signatures after approval: DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Sign and Dropbox Sign

Send the approved request as a PDF for signature with DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Sign or Dropbox Sign, follow it automatically and store the signed PDF with the response. No webhook into your server needed.

SnagBane can send an approved request for legally binding e-signature with DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Sign or Dropbox Sign. When the last approval stage approves, the response's PDF goes to the signers you list; SnagBane follows the envelope itself and saves the signed PDF with the response. E-signatures are part of the Business plan and use your organisation's own signing account.

How it works

  1. An administrator adds DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Sign or Dropbox Sign in a form's Connect apps tab and lists the signers — fixed addresses or merge tags like {{respondent.email}}, one after another or all at once.
  2. After the final approval, SnagBane sends the PDF of the response with a signature (and date) line per signer, where the service places its fields.
  3. SnagBane checks the status itself — every 15 minutes at first, hourly after two days, every six hours after two weeks, for up to 120 days — so no address on your server has to be reachable from the internet. Check now asks at once.
  4. When everyone has signed, the signed PDF is stored under Signatures on the response, and the event signature completed runs: a SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox or S3 integration set to After signing uploads it with the other files. Declined or voided envelopes show the reason and run signature declined.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need our own DocuSign, Acrobat Sign or Dropbox Sign account?

Yes. SnagBane connects to your organisation's account, so envelopes, signers and pricing stay under your contract with that service.

Can signing start before approval?

The signature step runs after the last approval stage, so documents are only sent for requests that were actually approved.

Where is the signed document kept?

With the response in SnagBane, and optionally uploaded to SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox or S3.
