SnagBane sends email through your own mail system. Use any SMTP server or an email API on the Free plan, or — with Business — send from a Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace mailbox, so messages come from a real company address and land in its Sent Items.

Set it under Settings → Email.
Email actions per form
- Send email (Free) — a custom email to anyone for each response, with merge tags.
- Outlook email (Business) — sent from a person's or a shared mailbox and saved in its Sent Items.
- Gmail (Business) — from an account or one of its Send mail as addresses.
All three can attach the PDF of the response and uploaded files (up to 3 MB for Outlook). The sender address is fixed by the person who sets it up — merge tags aren't allowed there — and administrators can limit which mailboxes others may use.
Frequently asked questions
Can we restrict which mailboxes SnagBane may send from?
Yes. In Microsoft 365, limit Mail.Send with an application access policy; in SnagBane, administrators list the addresses other editors may use.
Can emails go only after approval?
Yes. Every email action chooses When does this run?
See Email providers in the documentation.
